Looks like they can not blame democrats for stopping drilling now.l think
this was a brilliant move.l do not think drilling will solve the problem
but now republicans cant point the finger at some one else.They said drill
baby drill and we said go ahead.President Bush has threatened to veto this
so here is another thing we can blame on him. Typo : Now that the

That bill isn't worth the paper it is written on.
Huge tax increases on oil companies will drive prices higher.
Bush will veto this or any bill that does that.
This bill is an appeasement for the American people to say hey we're voting on an energy bill. This bill will do nothing except put a permanent ban on drilling off the coast within 50 miles. That is where most of the oil is. It blocks revenue sharing with states who allow drilling off their shores which will ensure that no states grant permission. Get real, this bill will be exposed for the sham it is. Katie: Do you know that if the US auto industry has to re-tool again it will drive them out of business.
The next thing I will argue about is why is the Democrats
ignoring calls to make auto companies to make more fuel efficent cars..
Did you know that cars can get up to 70 miles per gallon? and this was on
one of those big huge conversion vans and in the '70's. this is according
to my grandfather that worked for GM in the '70's..

Having not confirm the bill was passed & only taking the word of this
questionare: & the dem controlled congress knows the following...
FACT - Off the coast of California where most of the coastal oil is located in the couintry - scientists & underwater research verifies that 20% of the oil is within 20 miles of the coast. 80% of the oil is between 20 & 50 miles off coast. FACT - The bill ( if passed ) only allows drilling 100 miles out. the refineries & oil companys know this & have already made media statements that the bill is a joke. FACT - NO drilling will take place where oil does not exist. Dems win by deceiving the general public ( like this questionare ), environmentalists win as no drilling will actually occur. Any questions?
The fact that they set guidelines imposing a 50 mile offshore
limit. Like the 68 million acres they claim the oil companies ''don't
want to drill on'' there is not as much oil reserves that far out, & it
makes more expensive to extract, passing the savings on to us! Just like
Obama, it is a facade & it will be exposed for what it is. We need REAL
drilling that will produce REAL results. This is nothing more than trying
to buy votes on the part of the Dumb-O-Rats, nothing more, nothing less. Sarah will expose it for just what it is.

The bill is only up for a 150 miles off the shore, which is
hardly anything. So, it is not really changing anything substantial from
what it is now.
I ask you, why is it okay to accept oil from other countries in which we
ruin THEIR environment, but we can' take from our own land for ourselves?
It is okay to take from another though, as long as you are not risking your own land it is okay? That is a bit two faced.

did you notice that shortly just after the threat of the
democrats finally allowing drilling, the price of oil has plummeted.
it is all about speculation.
They are still saying Democrats are against drilling, even
though Mc Cain was against drilling
That bill is only to appease uninformed voters..If you read the
fine print, you will realize it is VERY restrictive on where they drill.
And the worse part of this bill is they want to tap into our emergency
reserve.
Well, price will go down. Now we don't have to ship the oil
across the ATLANTIC!
You could get more energy out of that bill if you burned it.
Pelosi and the dems want to take this issue off the table for Obama. They
are only willing to drill where there is NO OIL.
